Boothbay Harbor, Maine

After Casey's Wedding and visiting Marc's family in Vermont we decided to head out to Maine for a few days of rest and relaxation. This is the first vacation we have had where it is just the two of us, no family and not in a rush to make it to the other side of the country.

The three days we spent here were absolutely amazing. Maine really is a picturesque beautiful state with so much nature. I couldn't get over just how many trees and how green everything was in the middle of summer. I guess California's drought and "golden" hills are now normal to me. And if you ever find yourself in Boothbay Harbor you have to stay at the Greenleaf Inn. The friendliest staff, beautiful views from the rooms, delicious homemade breakfast every morning and homemade cookies available throughout the day. They even had rocking chairs and a hot tub! We couldn't have asked for anything more while we were there.
