Today I had two success stories. A 16 year old male I have seen three times since January. So far he has lost 16 pounds. The changes: skateboarding more, playing volleyball with his dad over the weekend and mom no longer buys sweetened beverages. I also had a 14 year old female who came for her second appointment. Since last month she has lost 6 pounds. The changes: going to the gym with her mom everyday during the week, soda once a month instead of every week and nonfat milk. I am so, so proud of these kids! It definitely made my Tuesday afternoon.
