I Didn't Sign Up For This

Someone told me when I moved to CA that I would be experiencing nothing but sunshine and blue skies. Well I'm here to report they lied.

Today it's cold, blustery and wet.




At work my car almost got hit by a tree. Luckily it was the weak outer branches that landed on my hood and not the trunk of the tree. I can't say the same for the car that parked in front of me. I have yet to check out if there are scratches.

Thanks to the rain we lost power at work and I was able to go home an hour early. Just look at the way the palm trees are blowing! When I got home I found the lid to the garbage can and one of our recycling bins all the way across the street.

Luckily my plants were still on our balcony and after moving them inside to a safe non-windy dry spot I had a moment to enjoy the sunset. You should have seen how fast the clouds were moving, it was insane!

Now it's time to change out of my wet clothes and into something warm and comfy. I think I'll snuggle up on the couch under a blanket with a warm drink and watch some TV. I'm definitely not going out to run errands tonight. . . maybe tomorrow.
