The Mayor of Alexandria has asked me and my co-chair for the Healthy Lifestyles Work-group of the Partnership for a Healthier Alexandria to appear on his monthly TV show. We are invited to talk about the city's involvement in the 50 Million Pound Weight Loss Challenge.
In all honesty I don't know much about the challenge and the idea of appearing on TV is frightening. On the other hand I realize what a great opportunity this is for my clinic and who knows, perhaps I'll enjoy it and it will be a stepping stone to other television appearances.
For now that's all the information I have, but I'll make sure to update you as I learn more. I guess what I need to work on is picking out a TV appropriate outfit and practicing speaking clearly.
